You have the opportunity to personalize the home through a curated selection of finishes, colors, fixtures, materials, and other details—while Kindred guides you through the process from purchase through completion.
01 — EXPLORE THE COLLECTION
Begin by exploring the homes currently being offered by Kindred. Each residence has been designed specifically for its community and site, with its own floor plan, architectural character, exterior elevations, and interior design direction.
Review the renderings, floor plans, specifications, approximate dimensions, and other information provided for each home. If you have questions or would like to discuss a particular residence, we invite you to contact us.
02 — SELECT YOUR HOME
Once you have identified a home that fits the way you want to live, we will walk you through the residence in greater detail. We will review the floor plan, site orientation, major architectural features, anticipated specifications, finish direction, and projected construction budget. This is also an opportunity to discuss any questions you have about the home, the community, the site, or the building process. Our goal is to make sure you understand exactly what is being proposed before moving forward.
03 — RESERVE YOUR OPPORTUNITY
When you decide that a particular home is right for you, the next step is to secure the opportunity to purchase and build that residence. The applicable purchase and construction agreements will establish the terms of the transaction, including the property, home design, pricing, allowances, responsibilities, and anticipated schedule. Because each project is different, the specific terms and timing will be outlined for you before you commit.
04 — MAKE IT YOUR OWN
The home has already been thoughtfully designed from the ground up, including the architecture, floor plan, materials, finishes, fixtures, and overall aesthetic. Our goal is to deliver a cohesive, fully specified, turn-key home rather than ask you to navigate hundreds of individual decisions.
You will have the opportunity to add your personal touch through a curated selection of options. Depending on the home and stage of construction, these may include:

05 — FINALIZE THE DETAILS
Once your selections have been made, Kindred will incorporate the approved choices into the home's construction documents, specifications, and selections schedule. Any applicable upgrades, substitutions, or changes will be identified and reviewed with you before they are incorporated into the project. This stage is about turning the design concept into a clear, buildable plan so that everyone understands what will be constructed.
06 — CONSTRUCTION BEGINS
With the necessary agreements, selections, approvals, permits, and other preconstruction requirements in place, construction can begin. Kindred manages the construction process from site preparation through completion, coordinating the trades, materials, inspections, scheduling, and day-to-day construction activities. Throughout the build, we remain your primary point of contact and keep you informed as your home takes shape.
07 — WATCH YOUR HOME TAKE SHAPE
One of the most rewarding parts of building a new home is seeing the plans become reality.
You'll see the project progress from foundation and framing through roofing, windows, exterior finishes, mechanical systems, cabinetry, tile, flooring, and final details. We believe communication is an important part of the building experience. As construction progresses, Kindred will keep you informed about the work, upcoming milestones, selections, and items requiring your attention.
08 — FINAL WALK-THROUGH
As construction nears completion, we conduct a detailed review of the home and identify any remaining items that need to be addressed. You will have the opportunity to walk through the completed residence with the Kindred team, review the workmanship and finishes, and identify any items requiring attention before final completion. Our objective is not simply to reach the end of construction, but to deliver a home that meets the standard established at the beginning of the process.
09 — WELCOME HOME
Once the final details are complete and the necessary closing and completion requirements have been satisfied, your Kindred home is ready for you. You began with a thoughtfully designed residence. Along the way, you made the selections that gave it your own character and style. What started as a design on paper is now a home built specifically for you. From concept to completion, Kindred is there to build it with you.
